I have been performing since I was four years old, and have been doing solo work since I was seven. I first fell in love with performing when my mom took me to see "Godspell" when it was performed at what is now my highschool. I remember sitting in the audience thinking, 'I want to do that'. Ever since I've devoted myself to my music and my art, and everything that falls in around it.
I've been in the following productions: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Anything Goes, and The Music Man.
I've been in the following choirs for the specified amount of time: St Helen's Church Choir (9 years), Vancouver Children's Choir (2 years), The British Columbia Girl's Choir (4 years), Notre Dame Concert Choir (3 years), Notre Dame Junior Show Choir (2 years), Notre Dame Girl's Show Choir (3 years), Notre Dame Soloists Group (2 years).
Awards I've recieved: St Helen's FineArts Searcher Award, Handbell Ensemble Award, Junior Concert Choir Leadership Award, Junior Concert Choir Most Valuable Performer Award.
I've been in many choirs and shows such as The British Columbia Girls Choir (4 years touring and chamber levels) with whom I toured to China in 2006, and The Music Man at my high school. My school's show choir competes internationaly and we've won prestigious awards. I've sung at many weddings and funerals, both alone and with my various groups.
Singing is and always will be my first love, and everything I do has some connection to my music. I love to act as well, and in my free time I write fantasy-fiction novels or paint. I love reading, and have read all my books three times over. My favourite series' right now are 'Twilight" and "Inkheart".
Here are a couple of my favourite quotes: "tell me and i forget, show me and i remember, involve me and i understand. unknown" and "Watch your 'Thoughts,' they become words. Watch your 'Words,' they become actions. Watch your 'Actions,' they become habits. Watch your 'Habits,' they become character. Watch your 'Character,' for it becomes your Destiny.' unknown"
More than anything in the world I want to make it on Broadway. I want to be like Idina Menzel, Julie Andrews, Sarah Brightman, and all those women that make names for themselves on the stage. Especially now when remaking musicals seems to be 'in', I want to break out in the business.
